AT&T Customer Service Terrible

On or about October 2012 I requested that AT&T show my home phone number as UNLISTED/UNPUBLISHED due to an Order of Protection. This action was taken as a result of conversations with my local police department. I contacted AT&T with my request and was told that the best thing to do was to change my phone number and start new with it being UNLISTED/UNPUBLISHED. I followed AT&T's instructions and had my number changed with the UNLISTED/UNPUBLISHED service. Because of this action, I had to call those important individuals (doctors, pharmacies, etc) and advise them of the new number. About three months after this request and the charges for the service showing up on my phone bill, I called 411 information to see if my phone was in fact UNLISTED/UNPUBLISHED. To my surprise I was able to get my new number from 411 service without any problems. I immediately called AT&T and advised them of what had happened and why I was being charged a service for something I was not getting. AT&T agreed to refund the costs and said that I should change my number again to ensure that I would get an UNPUBLISHED/UNLISTED NUMBER. So, for the second time I changed my phone number. Called all the individuals that needed to know the number and thought everything was ok. This was back in November/December of 2012. Yesterday, I was looking on the internet and pulled up my name out of curiosity. To my surprise, there was my name along with my UNLISTED/UNPUBLISHED phone number both in the 411 directory and the White Pages Directory. I had a friend look in the local phone book and sure enough the book published for September 2013 for AT&T showed my number and address. I called AT&T again and told them that I had been paying for a service for more than a year that was fraudulent on AT&T's part. I was given a bunch of excuses and told that they would look into it. Today I received a Voice Mail message from AT&T via a BLOCKED number telling me that they had called Directory Assistance and yes my number was listed. The original intent of having my phone number UNLISTED/UNPUBLISHED number was due to a "NO STALKING ORDER" that was ordered by the court against an individual that was stalking my family. But it seems that AT&T does not take a customer request for service seriously, but they do charge for it. And when they call you they call from a BLOCKED NUMBER. What a Joke this outfit is.
